OTHER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
_
WARNING:
When using electric tools, basic safety precautions
I
should always be used to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock
I
and personal injury. Only use UL listed extension cords suitable for I
outdoor use, such as Type SW-A, STW-A. STOW-A, SJW-A,
I
SJOW-A, SJTW-A, or SJTOW-A.
j
+ Extension Cords: Make sure the extension cord is in good condition, is
heavy enough to carry the current that the unit will draw. If in doubt, use
the next heavier gauge cord. An undersized
extension cord will cause a
drop in line voltage resulting in a loss of power and overheating.
The table
shown illustrates the correct size to use depending
on the cord length and
nameplate amperage rating.
