Clearing
A Clog
WARNING:To avoid serious injury, before
clearing clogged bagger by hand:
• Place control levers in "NEUTRAL"
position.
• Set parking brake.
• Place PTO in "DISENGAGED"
position,
• Turn ignition key tO "OFF" position and remove
key.
• Make sure blades and all moving parts have
completely stopped.
• Disconnect spark plug wires from spark plugs
and place wires where they cannot come in
contact with plugs.
To clear a clog:
• Clean all debris from:
Upper Boot
Bagger Tube.
Lower Boot
• Replace any parts removed before restart.
Bagger
Performance
For be_t bagger performance,
mower deck, boots and
tube should be clean and free of debris build-up.
If the bagger fails to pick up cut grass or leaves, it is an
indication that clogging has occurred or that the bagger
baskets are full.
If the bagger fails to pick up:
• Stop the units forward movement and allow mower to
run, clearing any clog. Resume operation.
If mower
still does not pick up, stop unit and empty baskets
(See Basket Removal) or clear clog by hand.
Parking
WARNING:To
avoid serious injury, take all
possible precautions when leaving unit
unattended. Lower attachment, stop engine and
remove key to prevent unauthorized use.

any maintenance, service or adjustments:

CAUTION: Grass catcher components are
subject to wear, damage and deterioration,
which could expose moving parts or allow
objects to be thrown. Frequently check
components and replace with manufacturer's
recommended parts, when necessary.
Tires
• Check unit tire pressure regularly. Correct pressure
is 10 - 12 psi (69 - 83 kPa). Uneven tire pressure
may cause uneven grass cutting.
Bagger
• Prior to each use check bagger parts for structural
damage, deterioration or wear. Replace only with
original service parts.
• Always observe safety rules when performing any
maintenance.
• Before each use check for loose fasteners.
• Clean unit thoroughly after each use.
Cleaning
• Remove any built up debris from bagger
components.
CAUTION: Do not spray bagger with water
while bagger is on the unit. Water can damage
unit engine and bearings.
• Do not use a high pressure washer on bagger
components.
• If washed, allow bagger components to dry before
operation to prevent clogging.
Blade Care
• Periodically check mower blade and vanes for wear.
• For best results mower blades must be kept sharp.
Replace bent or damaged blades. See BLADE
CARE instructions in your unit owner's manual.
