Switching to 16:9 Mode

If you intend to play back recorded images on a wide-screen TV, it is recommended that you switch the
screen size to 16:9 mode.

Press the MENU button in the recording pause
status.
The menu screen will appear.

choose "16:9" on the
" C a m e r a F u n c t i o n s
Setup" screen, and then
press the button .

choose "On" and then
press the button.

Press the MENU button.
The menu screen will
disappear.
Black bands will appear
a c ro s s t h e t o p a n d
bottom of screen.

Note: The black bands that appear across the
top and bottom of screen will not be recorded. If
you record in the 16:9 mode and play back on a
TV other that wide-screen TV, the portions masked
by the black bands will also be displayed. Use the
black bands as a guide for recording when playing
back on a wide-screen TV.
