SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should be followed, including the
following:

• When relnoving or carrying the trash bag,

• Be careflfl when cleaning the inside of the
cabinet or trash drawei: Glass fl'aglnents inay
be stuck to the rain, imbedded ill the drawer
surtace or lying ill the bottonl of the cabinet.
• Do not install or store colnpactor where it will
be exposed to outside conditions.
• Make sure the colnpactor is properly installed
and leveled on a floor that can support its
weight.
• Do not touch moving parts.
• Do not COlllpact tood waste
such
as raw illeat
and fish, rinds, personal hygiene itelns and
disposable diapers. These itelns create very
strong odors and should not go into the

• Do not use as a fl'eestanding unit. Use only as
a built-in unit.
PRECAUTIONS AGAINST UNRI_SONABLE
USE OF YOUR COMPACTOR:
• Never compact shotgun shells, cartridges fin.
firearlns, fireworks, etc., which are highly
explosive.
• Never compact flamn/able inaterials such as
paint, oil- or gasoline-saturated rags, engine
starting fluid cans, paint thinner cans, etc.--

• Never compact containers of toxic chemicals
such as strong insecticides or other poisonous

• Never compact aerosol cans containing

crealu, cheese spread and whipped crealn,

hot or burning itelus.
