B. Usage Situations
Where Appliance
Power Cord Will
Be Disconnected
Frequently.
Do not use an adapter plug in these situations because
disconnecting of the power cord places undue strain on
the adapter and leads to eventual failure of the adapter
ground terminal. The customer should have the 2-prong
wall receptacle replaced with a B-prong (grounding)
receptacle by a qualified electrician before using the
appliance.
The installation of appliances designed for mobile
home installation must conform with the Manufactured
Home Construction and Safety Standard, Title 24 CFR,
Part 3280 (formerly the Federal Standard for Mobile Home
Construction and Safety, Title 2/4,HUD,Part 280) or,
when such standard is not applicable, the Standard
for Manufactured Home Installations, latest edition
(Manufactured Home Sites,Communities and Set-Ups),
ANSIA225.1, latest edition, or with local codes. In Canada,
mobile home installation must be in accordance with the
current CAN/CSAZ240/IV1H Mobile Home Installation Code.
Electric Disconnect
• Locate disconnect plug on the range back.
• Pinchsides of connector and pull out of range back.

SEAL THE OPENINGS
Seal any openings in the wall behind the range and
in the floor under the range when hookups are completed.
CHECK IGNITION OF SURFACE
BURNERS
Operationof all cooktopand ovenburnersshouldbe checked
after the range and gas supply lineshave beencarefully
checkedfor leaks.
Electric Ignition Models
Selecta top burner knoband simultaneouslypushin and turn
to LITEposition.Youwill hear a clicking soundindicating proper
operationof the spark module.Oncethe air has been purged
from the supplylines,burnersshouldlight within 4 seconds.
After burner lights,rotate knob out of the LITEposition.Try
each burner in successionuntil all burnershavebeen checked.

Thecombustionquality of burner flamesneedsto be
determinedvisually.
(A) Yellow flames--

outer cones--
Normal for LP gas
(C) Soft blue
flames--Normal
for natural gas
If burner flames look like (A), c all for service. Normal burner
flames should look like(B)or (C), d epending on the type of gas
you use.
With LPgas,some yellowtipping on outer conesis normal.

CHECK IGNITION OF OVEN BURNER
Theovenis designedto operatequietly and automatically.
Tooperatethe oven, pressthe Bakepad and then pressthe
number padsuntil 350° appearsin the display.Touchthe
Start/On pad.After 30-90 seconds,the oven burnerwill ignite
and burn until the set temperatureis reached.Theovenburner
will continueto cycleon and off as necessary to maintain
the ovenat the temperatureindicated bythe display.
Tocheckignitionof the broil burner,touch the Broil Hi/Lo pad
and then the Start/On pad.After 30-90 seconds, t he broil
burner will ignite.
Electric ignition models requireelectricalpower to operate.
In caseof a poweroutage,the ovenburnerson these models
cannot be lit manuallywith a match.Gaswill not flow unless
the glow bar is hot.
If the ovenis in usewhen a poweroutage occurs,the burner will
shut off and cannot be relit untilpower is restored.
