Playing a Disc
Important!
• Do not press down on the disc compartment cover while a disc is playing.
• Keep the disc compartment cover closed except when loading or
removing a disc. Otherwise, dust getting into the Player can lead to
malfunction.
• The battery pack becomes warm while it is being used for a long time.
This does not indicate malfunction.
• The indicator "ø
you are using is damaged, if you load the disc upside-down, or if the region
number of the disc you are using is one that is not supported by this Player. If
the above indicator appears, remove the disc from the Player and take the
proper corrective action.
Playing VIDEO CDs with Playback Control (PBC)
• Pressing û (PLAY) begins PBC playback. Time display is not shown for
some discs.
• If you specify the track number to be played (with playback stopped) and
press û (PLAY), normal playback (not PBC playback) begins.

To adjust the volume level

Press – VOLUME or VOLUME + to adjust the
volume level of the audio within a range of 0 to 20.
• A safety feature automatically turns off Player
power if you set the volume level too high while
playing certain types of discs. If this happens,
lower the volume level and restart play.

To stop disc play

Press Ë (STOP).
Auto power-off function
• If you do not perform any operation for about five minutes after stopping disc
play, the Player is turned off automatically to save power.
