Preparing the Printer

1. Turn off the printer. Disconnect the power cord and
parallel printer cable from the interface panel (A).

Position the printer so that the interface panel can be
accessed.
3. Use a small phillips head screw driver to unfasten two
screws from the Interface Panel (B), then pull out the
Controller Board.

Unfasten the screw that holds the small 1.5" x 3.75" plate
over the Network Slot, then remove the plate. Keep the
screw (C).
5. Two posts are used for fastening the NIC to the
Controller Board. Remove the screw from lower one,
loosen the screw of the upper one and rotate the small
bracket (D). Avoid touching the Controller Board
circuitry and components!

Installing the NIC

Remove the NIC from its protective bag (E). Handle the
NIC only by its edges.
7.
Position the NIC as shown in (F), then plug the NIC's
connector to the Controller Board.
8.
Use the mounting screw (removed in step 5) and bracket
to fasten the NIC to the standoff post as shown in (G).
Fasten the screw removed from the front in Step 4.
9. Slide the Controller Board back into the printer.
10. Fasten the Interface Panel to the printer with screws
removed in Step 3 (H).
