III. Content compatibility
Q
Does USB Direct support the play back of protected contents?
A
No. The WACS7000's USB Direct feature does not support the playback of any protected
music files on the Center or Station.
Q
Why does it take so long to display the contents on my USB device?
A
This could be due to the large number of files or the size of the files on your USB device. Or, there
could be other non-supported file formats on your USB device that the system is trying to read.
Q
How are the songs sorted when the USB device is plugged into the WACS7000?
A
The sorting order and track information may not be the same as those on a PC or the screen of an
MP3 player. For folders inside the USB device, the browsing order is basically in parent-child order,
that is, it displays the folder, its sub-folders and sub-sub-folders, then another folder and its sub-
folders. With this, users can create different folders (top level) for artists first, then for each folder,
create sub folders for different albums corresponding to the artist.
Q
What is the maximum number of tracks that the WACS7000 supports?
A
WACS7000 supports a USB device with a maximum of 999 tracks.
Q
Why does the system not play some of my music files?
A
Only music files in the following formats are supported :
• MP3 (bit rates from 8 to 320 kbps; sampling frequencies from 8 to 48 kHz);
• WMA (v7 & v9 'Standard' audio, CBR or VBR, with bit rates up to 192 kbps with any standard
sample frequency.)
• AAC (Station only, AAC-LC audio up to L3 in MPEG-4/.m4a files.)
