    1. Turn your PC off and unplug it from the power source. 2. Connect your PC to the Ethernet port. 3. Insert the AC adapter cord into the power connector on the back of the eMTA. Then plug the power adapter into an AC power source.

    NOTE: Place the eMTA in a proper location with adequate airflow. Your PC and eMTA should be placed near your cable input with plenty of space for the cable. Choose a location for the eMTA that is adjacent to your telephone equipment.

    Troubleshooting If your eMTA does not operate properly, the following should be verified first. If going through this list still results in inoperability, contact your cable service provider. Verify that the plug to the eMTA is securely plugged in. Verify that the AC adapter is not plugged into an electrical outlet that is controlled by a wall switch.
