IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precau-
tions should always be followed to reduce the risk of
fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the appliance.
2. DANGER – To reduce the risk of electric shock:
a. Always unplug this appliance from the electri-
cal outlet before cleaning.
b. DO NOT reach for an appliance that has fall-

can fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

electric shock, or injury to persons:
a. This appliance should never be left unat-
tended when plugged in. Unplug from outlet
when not in use, and before putting on or
taking off parts.
b. DO NOT operate under blanket or pillow.
Excessive heating can occur and cause fire,
electric shock, or injury to persons.
c. Close supervision is necessary when this
appliance is used by, on, or near children,
invalids, or disabled persons. THIS IS NOT
A TOY.
d. Use this appliance only for its intended use
as described in this manual. DO NOT use
attachments not recommended by GE.
e. Never operate this appliance if it has a dam-
aged cord or plug, it if is not working prop-
erly, if it has been dropped or damaged, or
dropped into water. Return the appliance to
a service center for examination and repair.
f. DO NOT carry this appliance by supply cord
or use cord as a handle.
g. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
h. Never operate the appliance with the air
openings blocked. Keep the air openings
free of lint, hair and the like.
i. Never drop or insert any object into
any opening.
j. DO NOT use outdoors.
k. DO NOT operate where aerosol (spray)
products are being used or where oxygen is
being administered.
l. To disconnect, turn all controls to the off
position, then remove plug from outlet.
m. DO NOT stand on or in appliance. Use only
while seated.
n. Connect this appliance to a properly grounded
outlet only. See grounding instructions.
4. Use appliance only for intended household use
as described in this manual. Any other use not
recommended by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electric shock, or injury to persons. The
use of attachments not recommended or sold by
GE may cause hazards.
5. DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust any electri-
cal or mechanical functions on this unit. Doing
so will void your warranty. The inside of the unit
contains no user serviceable parts. All servicing
should be performed by qualified personnel only.
