Set water softener

To avoid scale deposits on the dishes and in the dish-
washer, the dishes must be washed with soft water, i.e.
water with a low lime content. The dishwasher there-
fore has a built-in water softener, in which tap water
with a hardness of 4°d (German degree) and harder is
softened with the aid of special salt.
Your water supplier will be able to inform you
3
about the hardness and hardness range of
the water in your area.
The water softener can be set manually using the
water hardness switch; it can also be set electroni-
cally using the buttons on the control panel.
