Simple recording (musical prac-
tice, meeting, etc.)
Before recording, set the [ALC] switch to
[ON] and the [MIC SENS] (microphone sensi-
tivity) switch to [HIGH].
1.
Point the built-in stereo microphone
toward the sound source, then press
the [REC/PAUSE
The LED lights up in red and recording
begins.
Hint:
· If the recording level is too high (see page 22),
set the [MIC SENS] (microphone sensitivity)
switch (located on the side panel) to [LOW].
2.
Press the [STOP/ESC
recording.
The LED turns off and the unit displays
the main screen.
Note:
· Press the [REC/PAUSE
recording. Press the [REC/PAUSE
again to resume recording.

Recording a musical perfor-
mance
Before recording, set the [ALC] switch to
[OFF] and the [MIC SENS] (microphone sen-
sitivity) switch to [LOW].

Point the built-in stereo microphone
toward the sound source, then press
the [REC/PAUSE
The unit enters recording [STANDBY]
mode. The LED indicator flashes slowly in
red. Recording has not started yet.
Level meter
Note:
· The level meter will move left or right in
response to the sound level from the micro-
phone.
