    The handsets include a single-press SOS key used to make one-touch calls or send messages to a particular contact number. The G955 DECT Handset offers a text-messaging facility to send and receive messages. The NEC Philips G955 DECT Handset is compatible both with traditional DECT and IP DECT systems.

CAUTION Like all cordless telephones, this handset uses radio signals, which do not guarantee a connection under all circumstances. Do not rely exclusively on cordless telephones when making indispensable calls (such as medical emergencies).

Do not allow metallic objects to come in contact with the magnet, because that can deteriorate audio quality and damage the handset.     DECT system configuration Subscribing the handset to a DECT system You must subscribe the handset to at least one DECT system before you can use the handset to make a call. The handset can operate with a maximum of four DECT systems, for which the handset stores the name of the system in a subscription record.
