You can exchange long text messages and picture, video and sound attachments with
email compatible devices. For details, contact your service provider.
Setting Your Email Account
You can set the information required to access the mailbox of your email account.
1. In standby mode, press
2. Settings Email Settings
◆ Add Account: Allows you to add up to three accounts, including the preinstalled
account.
◆ Vodafone Mail: The settings required to use Vodafone mail have already been
set by your service provider. Set the user name and password provided by your
service provider. To configure the settings, press
• General Settings: Allows you to set the account name and delete settings
for messages received on the server.
• Receiving Emails: Allows you to set the protocol, incoming server address
and port number. You can also set the user name and password required
when logging into your mailbox. To set the message reception method, select
(Sync. Option).
• Sending Options: Allows you to set the outgoing server address and port
number. You can also set the sender name and sender address (sent as the
From address). To set whether to use authentication when you connect to the
server, select (Authentication). To edit the signature or set it to be
attached automatically, select Signature. To set sent messages to be saved
automatically to Sent Messages, select Auto Save.

When you switch email accounts, any
received messages stored in the
inbox for the previous account are
deleted. Furthermore, if you delete an
email account, any received
messages stored in the inbox for that
account are also deleted. Move any
messages you do not want to delete
to My Folder 1, My Folder 2 or My
Folder 3 beforehand.
Tip
• To connect to the Web to change
your Vodafone mail address, select
Vodafone Mail in Step 2 and then
press .
• To delete an email account, select
the email account you want to
delete after Step 2, press
(Options) and then select Delete.
