When the system is "at an idle state," it is not currently performing a function entered by a user.

Descriptions
One of a number of messages indicating the system
requires service.
Normal idle message; indicates the system is normal
and ready to function.
Indicates a need to press the [ALARM SILENCE] key.

custom text for the idle messages in your system.
A valid personal passcode with the proper authority
silences the alarm on a D1255RB.
