The X-Reality for mobile picture engine analyses
images, reproduces lacking pixels, optimises
quality and enhances composition and contrast to
produce a cleaner, clearer image. Noise reduction
features work on images prior to up-scaling
(automatic conversion of a low-resolution image
or video to high-resolution), while our display technology analyses each image to optimise pixels,
texture, outline, colour, contrast and noise. All this combines to give Xperia Tablet 2 the world's
fastest processor in a tablet****
From the engineers:
"The combination of the two technologies
tunes the display to "natural" for human
skins and "vivid" for standout colours.
Traditionally, these factors usually force
emphasis one way or another, but the
algorithm balances both to have equal
visual impact."
- Takashi Ozaka, TRILUMINOS™ engineer.
Suggested demos:
If you want to demo the X-Reality Engine, you can use the settings for ON and OFF, and then
screen capture (long press on the power button and volume down key simultaneously) so that you
can easily compare the results. There is a
made by X-Reality for mobile.
It reproduces pixels that are lacking so you get
sharp images, improved texture and sharpened
outlines, reproduced vividness of images in
original colour, and decreased noise that can
occur in high-motion footage in low-light
conditions.
What does all this mean? It means that images
are reproduced to actually look how you
remember them, and videos look so good you'll
forget you're watching them on a tablet.
