What is Low Ink Warning?
The low ink warning is that the ink counter counts a remaining level of ink and tells you that FINE
Cartridges are running out of ink before printing.
The ink counter considers as ink is full when new FINE Cartridge is installed, and then starts
counting a remaining level of ink. For this, if old FINE Cartridge is installed, a remaining level of
ink cannot be displayed correctly.
• When the following message appears on the LCD:
CINK LOW
PINK LOW
You should purchase new FINE Cartridge.
CHECK INK
U162
Printing stops. Possible causes are as follows:
• This FINE Cartridge has previously been used.
• Ink may have run out.
The function for detecting the remaining ink level will be disabled since the remaining ink
level cannot be correctly detected.
Pressing the OK button cancels the error messages and enables continuation of printing.
However, error detection function will be disabled after the error indication is canceled,
therefore, the low ink warning message does not appear later on. When you install new
FINE Cartridge, the low ink warning is enabled automatically.
