Using the application buttons

You can open your preferred programmes or applications directly from the suspend mode or from an
application by using the application buttons.
Upon delivery, the applications Tasks, Contacts, Calendar as well as Today are assigned to the four
buttons. However, you can adapt the button assignment as you wish. Instructions on this procedure
can be found in the chapter "Configuring Pocket LOOX 600".
Because the application button react differently to short or long keystrokes you can assign a total of
eight different programmes or applications to the application buttons.

Adjusting display lighting

If the ambient lighting permits, you can switch off or reduce the display lighting to save energy. The
reducing and switching off and on again of the display lighting can also be specified in the system
settings of your Pocket PC (see the chapter "Configuring Pocket LOOX 600"). The Pocket PC is
also equipped with a light sensor that automatically reduces the display lighting with a
corresponding surrounding brightness.
Ê
Press the Suspend button (2) for longer than 1 second to switch the display lighting on or off.
