The printer mechanism can be broadly divided into two major components: the ink passage and paper path.
The ink passage consists of an ink tank, a carriage unit having a printhead, a purge unit. and a maintenance cartridge unit which are used to supply, circulate, and
suck ink.
The paper path consists of a roll feed unit, paper feed unit to support three types of media feeding, transport, and ejection.
This section provides an overview of these mechanical components.
