CYLINDER HEAD
10. Remove:
9 engine mount nut
9 washer
9 engine mount bolt
9 cylinder head bolts
9 cylinder head bolts
9 washers
9 cylinder head
NOTE:
9 Loosen the nuts in the proper sequence as
shown.
9 Loosen each nut 1/2 of a turn at a time. After
all of the nuts are fully loosened, remove them.
11. Remove:
9 dowel pins 1
9 gasket 2
9 timing chain guide (exhaust side) 3

CHECKING THE CYLINDER HEAD

1. Eliminate:
9 combustion chamber carbon deposits
(with a rounded scraper)
NOTE:
Do not use a sharp instrument to avoid damag-
ing or scratching:
9 spark plug bore threads
9 valve seats
2. Check:
9 cylinder head
Damage/scratches → Replace.
