L.P. gas conversion
Converting to L.P. gas should be
done by a qualified installer.
Fire Hazard
l
Locate gas supply valve between
pressure regulator and gas valve.
l
Shut off gas supply valve before
converting to L.P. gas.
l
Make all conversions
before turning gas
supply valve back on.
Failure to follow these instructions
could
result in fire, explosion or other personal
injury.
Do Not remove
this protective
cap except for conversion.

Complete Installation
Instruction
Steps l-8 before converting your
.
range to L.P. gas.
Pressure regulator:
Remove storage drawer.
(See Step 13.) Regulator is located in lower
left-hand rear corner of storage drawer area.
Use a wrench to unscrew the plastic-coated
hex-nut cap assembly from the regulator.
DO NOT REMOVE PRESSURE REGULATOR.
Carefully pry the protective plastic cap and
washer off the threaded metal cap.
Reinstall the plastic cap onto the threaded end
of the metal cap displaying the "L.P".
Reattach the cap assembly to the regulator.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN,
but make sure the
washer is sealed securely.

small burners and
remove the venturi
tubes.
Use a 5/16" nut driver to loosen the Natural gas
orifice spud on all the burners. Use a "pin
pickup" tool (also called "claw attachment"),
available from your local auto parts store, to
remove the Natural gas orifice spuds.
Install size #64
L.P. gas orifice
spuds in the left
front and right rear
burners. Install size #69
L.P. gas orifice spuds in
left rear and right front
burners. (Size is
stamped on the orifice
spuds.) Hand-tighten
the
L.P. gas orifice spuds
onto the threads. Tighten the L.P. gas orifice
spuds with nut driver.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Reinstall the venturi tubes and screws in the
two small burners.

Oven burner:
Turn the orifice hood

2-l/2 turns).
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
The burner flame cannot be properly adjusted if
this conversion
is not made.

Broil burner:
Remove 3 screws

cover in position. Pull back
cover off support tabs and
remove.

box. Turn broil tube box
one-quarter
turn and pull
off tabs to remove.

Oven burner:

Loosen the locking screw and adjust the air
shutter until the proper flame appears. Tighten
screw. See Step 27, Panel D, to be sure that
flame is properly adjusted. L.P. gas has a
slightly yellow tip on top of burner flame.

Broil burners:
No burner adjustment

is necessary.
Natural gas
conversion
Converting to Natural gas should be
done by a qualified installer.

converting to Natural gas.

Shut off main gas supply line valve

and disconnect power supply cord
before converting your range to
Natural gas.
Pressure regulator:
Remove storage drawer,
oven rack and oven bottom. (See Step 13.)
Regulator is located in lower left-hand rear
corner of storage drawer area. Use a wrench to
unscrew the plastic-coated
hex-nut cap
assembly from the regulator.
DO NOT REMOVE PRESSURE REGULATOR.
Carefully pry the protective plastic cap and
washer off the threaded metal cap.
Reinstall the plastic cap onto the threaded end
of the metal cap displaying the "NAT'.
Reattach the cap assembly to the regulator.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN,
but make sure the
washer is sealed securely.

Loosen the
screws at the front of
the two small burners
and remove the venturi
tubes.
Use a 5/16" nut driver to loosen the L.P. gas
orifice spud on all the burners. Use a "pin

gas orifice spuds.
Install size #52 Nat
orifice spuds in the left
and right rear burners.
size #56 Natural gas o

spuds onto the threads. Tighten the Natural gas
orifice spuds with nut driver.
DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
Reinstall the venturi tubes and screws in the
two small burners.

Natural gas does not have a yellow flame to tip.
