Replacing the ink pad

The ink pad is a part that absorbs waste ink ejected during head cleaning or printing. When it becomes time to replace
the ink pad, publishing becomes no longer possible.

How to check when it is time to replace the ink pad

You can replace the ink pad in one of the following two ways.
• In EPSON Total Disc Monitor, a message says "It is almost time to replace the ink pad. Early replacement is
recommended. For information on replacement, please contact customer support." The message is displayed once
per day when EPSON Total Disc Monitor starts up. See "EPSON Total Disc Monitor" on page 50 in this guide for
EPSON Total Disc Monitor.
• A message notifying you that it is almost time to replace the ink pad is displayed on the LCD.
When it is time to replace the ink pad, disc publishing stops, and a message notifying you that it is time to replace the
ink pad is displayed on the LCD. The ink pad cannot be replaced by the customer. Please contact Customer Support.
If an administrator has set notification email transmission, an email is sent to notify each
