Caring for Media Loan Equipment
Do not drop the palmcorder!
Do not leave the palmcorder in excessive heat, such as
a car!
Do not subject the palmcorder to moisture or water!
Do not use excessive physical force!
Do not store this palmcorder in excessive cold!
Never push objects of any kind into the palmcorder
through any opening!
Do not leave the viewfinder exposed to direct sunlight as
it may melt!
Dirty Heads
The following symptoms may appear if the video heads
become even a little dirty.
Mosaic or other blocky video artifacts or banding appear
on the picture during playback.
Sound becomes distorted, or there is no sound during
playback.
The message "HEADS DIRTY, USE CLEANING
CASSETTE" appears.

Operating Guide for
Charging the Battery
Turn off the palmcorder.
Attach the battery pack to the
palmcorder by lightly pressing the
battery pack and sliding it down until it
clicks
Plug the power adaptor into a power
outlet
Connect the power adaptor to the
palmcorder's DC IN terminal. The
CHARGE indicator starts flashing.
The indicator will stay on when the
charging is completed.
Once the Battery is Fully Charged
Disconnect the power adapter from
the palmcorder.
Unplug the power adapter from the
power outlet.
Battery precautions
Treat the battery pack with care!
Keep it away from fire (or it might
explode)
Do not expose the battery pack to
temperature higher than 140 deg F
Do not leave it near a heater or inside
a car in hot weather
Do not try to disassemble or modify it
Do not drop or knock it
Do not get it wet
Charged battery packs continue to
discharge naturally. Therefore, charge
them on the day of use, or the day
before to ensure a full charge
Attach the terminal cover whenever
a battery pack is not in use. Contact
with metallic objects may cause a
short circuit and damage the battery
pack.
