The charging time depends on the
charger and the battery used. For
example, charging a battery with the
ACP-12 charger takes approximately
1 hour and 20 minutes while the
phone is in standby mode.
■ Switching the phone on
and off
Warning: Do not switch the
phone on when wireless
phone use is prohibited or
when it may cause
interference or danger.
Press and hold the
power key
as
shown.
Note that if the
phone displays
Insert SIM card
even though the
SIM card is properly inserted, or
card not
supported, contact your
network operator or service provider.
Your phone does not support 5-Volt
SIM cards and the card may need to
be changed.
If the phone asks for a PIN or
security code, enter the code
supplied with your SIM card
(displayed as ****), and press OK.

■ Normal operating
position
Your phone
has an
internal
antenna. Use
the phone
only in its
normal
operating position as shown.
Note: As with any other radio
transmitting device, do not touch
the antenna unnecessarily when the
device is switched on. Contact with
the antenna affects call quality and
may cause the device to operate at a
higher power level than otherwise
needed. Avoiding contact with the
antenna area when operating the
device optimises the antenna
performance and the battery life.

■ Putting on a wrist strap

The upper
left edge of
the phone
contains an
eyelet for the
wrist strap.
Thread the
strap as
shown in the picture and tighten it.
