    Before operating the unit any further, first set the clock built in this unit, then some other basic settings. Turning On the Power When you press one of the source selecting buttons— HDD 3/8, CD 3/8, TUNER/LINE, the unit automatically turns on (and starts playback if the source is ready).

    Presetting Stations You can preset 30 FM and 15 AM (MW/LW) stations manually following the procedure below. In some cases, test frequencies have been already memorized for the tuner since the factory examined the tuner preset function before shipment. This is not a malfunction. You can preset the stations you want into memory by following the presetting method.

    Using an Optional Keyboard You can connect a keyboard with the PS/2 plug to the KEYBOARD terminal inside the front door (see page 9). You can use the following keys to operate this unit for Edit and Search Modes. • You can use such a keyboard as a PS/2 US101 keyboard or an equivalent. However, the keyboard connected to this unit must be a type of DC 5 V and less than 100 mA.
