To Connect the P2 drive to a Personal Computer for External Use

1
After switching the personal computer off,
remove the power cord from the personal
computer.
2
After checking that the personal computer
is off, remove the cover from the personal
computer.
3
Insert the PCI EXPRESS board included
with the P2 drive into the PCI EXPRESS
connector inside the personal computer.
<Notes>
Install the PCI EXPRESS board with the
PCI EXPRESS connector. Installing with
an ordinary PCI connector may cause
damage to the personal computer.
Since the included PCI EXPRESS
board uses a full height bracket, it
cannot be installed in a low-profile slot.
4
Tighten the screws etc to attach the PCI
EXPRESS board to the personal
computer.
5
Attach the rubber feet to the dimples on
the base of the P2 drive.

operate properly if a commercially
available cable of 2 metres or longer is
used.
When connecting the cable, ensure that
both the P2 drive and the personal
computer are off.
Connect after carefully checking the
configuration of the PCI EXPRESS
cable. Connecting the ends in reverse
will damage internal parts and cause
malfunction.
