Listening to a disc Before performing any operations... Turn on the monitor to watch the playback picture. If you turn on the monitor, you can also control playback of other discs by referring to the monitor screen. ( • Selects an appropriate color system (PAL/NTSC) for your monitor. Troubleshooting Symptom Sound cannot be heard from the speakers. “PROTECT” appears on the display and no operations can be done. The unit does not work at all.
