    This guide for Installation and Startup describes how to connect the components of the optiPoint 100 advance telephone and how to integrate the telephone into a LAN environment. Administrators who wish to install and configure IP phone telepho- ny devices via a web interface will find detailed informations in the "Administrator Manual".
  • Page 4 Latch the four-pin (red) Western plug (RJ 11) of the power sup- ply unit cord in the receptacle (1) on the bottom of the tele- phone. Feed the power supply unit cord through the guide channel in the base unit. The Western plugs of all cable connections must audibly snap into place.

  • Page 6 Setting up the optiPoint 100 advance in a HiPath system without DHCP server If there is no DHCP server integrated into your HiPath environ- ment, you have to enter the IP address and the subnet mask ma- nually via your dialling keypad. First you have to switch off the DHCP function.
