CABLE TV RECEPTION

CONNECTING THE BD-V3500HD TO THE
TV/VCR
Connect your equipment as shown in the figures
on pages 6 and 7.
To connect the BD-V3500HD to an analog TV:
Follow the diagrams on page 6.
STEP
Connect the cable service to BD-

V3500HD CABLE IN (input connector).
a) If you are connecting the BD-
V3500HD to only an analog TV:
Use the top diagram on page 6.
Connect the BD-V3500HD
VIDEO OUT and L/R AUDIO OUT
to the TV's corresponding input
jacks with shielded RCA (phono)
cables.
If your TV has an S-Video jack,
connect the BD-V3500HD S-
VIDEO OUT to the TV's S-VIDEO
input, using S-Video cable (not
included). Leave the BD-
V3500HD
unconnected.
b) If you are connecting the BD-
V3500HD to an analog TV and a
VCR:

Use the bottom diagram on page
6. Connect the BD-V3500HD
VIDEO OUT and L/R AUDIO OUT
to the VCR's corresponding input
jacks with shielded RCA (phono)
cables.
Connect the VCR's VIDEO OUT
and L/R AUDIO OUT to the TV's
corresponding input jacks with
shielded RCA (phono) cables.
If your TV or VCR has an S-
Video jack, connect the BD-
V3500HD S-VIDEO OUT to the
S-VIDEO input(s), using S-Video
cable (not included). Leave the
BD-V3500HD
unconnected.
Plug the AC cords into AC outlets

that are not controlled by a switch.

DVI-D — OK to use
The DVI-D plug has
no pins above or
below the blade.
Some DVI-D plugs have
fewer than the 24 pins
shown. These are OK to
use.
STEP
Connect the cable service to BD-

If your TV has a DVI input jack,

included). Leave the BD-V3500HD
Y-Pb-Pr output jacks unconnected.
a) If you are connecting the BD-
V3500HD to only a digital TV:
Use the top diagram on page 7.
Connect the BD-V3500HD L/R
AUDIO OUT jacks to the TV's
corresponding input jacks with
shielded RCA (phono) cables.
b) If you are connecting the BD-
V3500HD to a digital TV and a
VCR:
Use the bottom diagram on
page 7. Connect the BD-
V3500HD VIDEO OUT and L/R
AUDIO OUT jacks to the VCR's
corresponding input jacks with

shielded RCA (phono) cables.
Connect the VCR's VIDEO OUT
and L/R AUDIO OUT to the TV's
corresponding input jacks with
shielded RCA (phono) cables.
If your TV or VCR has an S-
Video jack, connect the BD-
V3500HD S-VIDEO OUT to the
S-VIDEO input(s), using S-Video
cable (not included). Leave the
BD-V3500HD
unconnected.
Connect the remaining set of
BD-V3500HD L/R AUDIO OUT to
the TV's corresponding input
jacks with shielded RCA (phono)
cables.

The DVI-I plug has extra
pins above and below the
blade. DO NOT TRY TO
INSERT this type of plug
into the BD-V3500HD
Digital Video Output
Connector.
