Be sure to leave enough space around the outdoor unit to maintain proper performance and to allow access for routine maintenance. • Allow enough space from any obstacles as shown in Fig.1.2 below in order to prevent short-circuits from occurring. (If installing more than one outdoor unit, make the necessary space available as outlined in 14.) However, there should be at least 1 meter of free space above the unit.

• If a drain pipe needs to be installed, insert the accessory drain elbow into the mounting hole at the bottom of the outdoor unit, and connect a hose with an inside diameter of 15mm to this drain elbow. (The hose is not supplied.) If using the drain elbow, install the outdoor unit on a base which is at least 5cm high.
