Connecting the TV (Video connection)

This connection sends a video signal to the TV.
Depending on the jacks on your TV, select the connection method.

B HDMI cable*
To the HDMI IN jack
of the TV.
* The HDMI cable is supplied with DAV-TZ200 (Singapore, Indonesian, Malaysian, Filipino, Mexican, and Latin
American models only) and DAV-TZ300.
Method 1: Video cord (A) connection
This is the basic connection.
Method 2: HDMI* cable (B) connection
If your TV has an HDMI jack, connect to the TV with an HDMI cable. Picture quality will be improved
compared to using the video cord connection.
When connecting with the HDMI cable, you need to select the type of output signal (page 27).
* HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface)
To change the color system (PAL or NTSC) (Asian, Australian, Middle
Eastern, and South African models only)
Depending on the TV to be connected, you may be required to select either PAL or NTSC for the color
system.
The initial setting of the system for Australian, Middle Eastern, and South African models is PAL.
The initial setting of the system for Asian models is NTSC.

Turn off the system by pressing "/1.

Turn on the system by pressing "/1 on the unit while turning OPERATION DIAL on the
unit counterclockwise.
Each time you perform this operation, the color system toggles between PAL and NTSC.
"NTSC" lights up in the front panel display when the color system is set to NTSC.
