Adjusting the tube length
The telescopic tube (9) can be adjusted as follows: Push the knob (10) and slide the
tube to the desired length. Release the knob.
Adjusting the suction head
For vacuuming on carpets, switch the brush actuator (13) to the up position. For
vacuuming on laminates, tiles, etc., switch the brush actuator to the down position.
Take care not to trap fingers when adjusting the brush position.
Switching on and off
• The on/off switch (3) can be operated by hand or foot.
• To switch the appliance on, press the on/off switch (3).
• To switch the appliance off, press the on/off switch again.
Adjusting the airflow
Rotate electronic speed control (5) to adjust the airflow as desired. The slider on the
nozzle can also be used to momentarily reduce the airflow if required.
Vacuuming
When operating the appliance, make sure that the hose is not trapped, twisted or
blocked. In case of overheating, a cut-out will operate and the appliance will
automatically stop. If the appliance stops operating, unplug the appliance and allow
it to cool for 2-3 hours before continuing.
Note: Never use the Vacuum to pick up anything burning or smoking (matches,
cigarettes, hot ashes, etc.)
How to care for your Vacuum Cleaner
Regular cleaning of the dust-bag and filter will maintain the efficiency of your
Vacuum Cleaner and the life of the motor. Clean the Vacuum Cleaner body with a
damp cloth & allow it to dry thoroughly before using it again. Do not use any
abrasives.
Change of filters
The motor protection air filter is located in the dust-bag compartment and protects
the motor from dust. To reach this filter, press the latch (16) and open the dust-bag
compartment. Fig. 20-26: Pull the filter carrier from its location & remove the filter
and replace it with a new one. Close the dust-bag compartment.
Attention: Do not use the vacuum cleaner without the motor protection filter fitted.
