System Firmware Update Instructions for Pioneer AVH-X7550BT
IMPORTANT
This firmware update (version 8.25) applies only to the Australian model: AVH-X755 0BT
Please download and print these Firmware Update instructions before downloading and installing the firmware
update. It is important that you complete all steps correctly and in the order described below.

In order to perform this update, the following items are needed:
• Pioneer AVH-X7550BT
• A blank USB storage device (no files), 2 GB or larger in capacity, formatted to FAT32.
• DO NOT turn your unit off or disconnect the USB storage device while the firmware is being updated.
• You can only update the firmware when the vehicle is stopped and the parking brake is engaged.
PROCEDURE
1. Start the vehicle engine.
2. Press the [Home] button.
3. Touch the [AV source] & touch [Off] to source Off.

  • Page 2 4. Touch the [Setting] icon. 5. Select [System information] for select menu of system setting. 6. Select [Firmware information]. 7. Confirm current version of the product. (If the firmware version shows “8.25” or higher, no further action is necessary.)
  • Page 3 B. Updating the Firmware on Your Unit IMPORTANT DO NOT perform this firmware update on any other model than AVH-X7550BT Ensure that the update file is located within the root (top) folder of your USB storage device. There should be no other files within the USB storage device.
  • Page 4 6. Touch [Setting] icon. 7. Select [System information] to select the system setting menu. 8. Select [Firmware Update]. 9. Touch [Continue].
