using[ADD SPELLING].Your personal speuing dictionary
is maintained in a battery-
powered memory and recorded
on disk so it will not be lostin case of power failure.
The SPELL CHECK LEAP Command
To begin a spelling check, hold down the appЮ
priate
LEAP key(nOt[USE FRONT])and press
[SPELLCHECKLEAP].The Search proceeds fromthe begm-
ning ofthe word on which l力 Ю
 cursor sits in the direction
indicatedby the chosen L圧
シ ヽ Pkey.The Cat will search the
entirc text unless l∝
alleap is on.The cursor stops on the
rlrstpOSsibly rnisspelled word.Ifthere are none,the cursor
rebounds to its starting location.A SPELL CHECK sign
appears on the ruler while[sPELL CHECK LEAP]is search_
ing for a possibly nusspelled word.
The Catpositions the narrow cursoron the rlrstletterofthe
firstpossiblenusspelledworditrlnds.PressingbothLEAP
keys will highlight the word,making it easy to erase the
word and retype it.If you have consistently misspelled a
word,usc[LEARN]to correct it.
[SPELL CHECK LEAP]differs fЮ
m an ordinary leap in that
you cannot add anything to the pattem.If you attemptto
add to the patternby typing whiletheLEAPkey is pressed,
the Cat will beep.
