Troubleshooting

This chapter tells you what to do if you experience one of the following
problems:
Problem
You can't turn the
phone's power
on.
You can't make
calls.
Solution
• Did you press and hold the
to turn the phone's power on?
• Check the battery. Is it charged, properly fitted, and
are the contacts clean and dry?
• Check the antenna. Is it fully extended and rotated?
Do you have a clear unobstructed view of the sky?
• Did you enter the number in international format? All
calls made from the Iridium satellite system must be
in international format (in satellite mode only).
• Check the signal strength indicator. If the signal is
weak, move to an open space or, if you are in a
building, move closer to a window.
• Check the Network Selection settings. Try to register
manually in satellite mode. In GSM cellular mode, try
a manual search and select another network.
• Check your operator coverage map.

• Has a new SIM card been inserted? Check that no

must disable this feature from satellite mode.
