Troubleshooting

If You Suspect Something Wrong
Check and take steps as described in the tables below.
If the suggestions below do not solve the problems, it is recommend-
ed to take the unit to your nearest authorized Panasonic Service cen-
ter. The product should be serviced only by qualified personnel.
Please refer checking and repair to professionals. Panasonic shall not
be liable for any accidents arising out of neglect of checking the unit
or your own repair after your checking.

Common
Problem
Car's ignition switch is not on.
aTurn your car's ignition switch to ACC or ON.
Cables are not correctly connected.
aConnect cables correctly.
Battery cable is not correctly connected.
aConnect the battery cable to the terminal that is always live.
No power
Accessory cable is not correctly connected.
aConnect the accessory cable to your car's ACC source.
Grounding wire is not correctly connected.
aConnect the grounding wire to a metal part of your car.
Fuse is burnt.
aCall the store where you purchased the unit, or your nearest Panasonic
Service center and ask for fuse replacement.
The volume is adjusted to zero. (Control unit)
aRaise the volume.
Mute is set to ON. (Control unit)
aSet it to OFF.
No sound
Cables are not correctly connected.
aConnect cables correctly.
Condensation (dew)
aWait for a while before use.
Parking brake (side brake) lead is not correctly connected.
aConnect the side brake connection lead correctly.
Only sound,
no picture.
You did not pull the parking brake (side brake) lever.
aPull the parking brake (side brake) lever.
A mobile phone is used near the unit.
aKeep the mobile phone away from the unit.
Noise
The unit's grounding wire is not connected securely.
Picture is not clear.
aCheck the metal areas of the car chassis (body), and connect the ground-
ing wire more securely.

Warnings:
¡Do not use the unit in an irregular condition,
for example, no sound, or if it is emitting
smoke or foul smell, as this may cause elec-
tric shock. Immediately stop using it and
call the store where you purchased it.
¡Never try to repair the unit by yourself due
to risk of electrical injury and potential dam-
age to electrical safety equipment.
