CAUTION
• Be sure to turn off the power and unplug the power cord
from the power outlet whenever making or changing
connections.
• Connect the power cord after all the connections
between devices have been completed.

Connecting antenna

Connect the FM wire antenna as shown below. To improve
reception and sound quality, connect external antennas (see
Using external antennas below).

Connect the FM wire antenna into the FM
antenna socket.
For best results, extend the FM antenna fully and fix to a wall
or door frame. Don't drape loosely or leave coiled up.

Using external antennas

To improve FM reception
Use a PAL connector (not supplied) to connect an external FM
antenna.

Plugging in

CAUTION
• Do not use any power cord other than the one supplied
with this unit.
• Do not use the supplied power cord for any purpose
other than that described below.
• The cord on the AC adaptor is 1.5 m long. Make sure that
the body of the AC adaptor is not suspended off the
ground during use, as this will place unnecessary force
on the DC plug.

• When inserting the AC adapter into a wall socket, make
sure that there is no gap between the AC adaptor and the
wall socket. Such a gap may cause a poor connection,
and metal items like coins or paperclips falling into it
may cause a short circuit and start a fire.

AC adapter when all other connections to the unit have been
completed.
