Using the Output Stacker

Using the Output Stacker
Using the Output Stacker
This topic describes how to use the Output Stacker.
Use the Output Stacker in position (1) when storing printed documents.
When the Output Stacker is not used, fold the stacker to stow it in position (2).
The Output Stacker can stack paper that is up to 36 inches (914.4 mm) in length. However, performing color measure-
ment using the Spectrophotometer Unit (optional) should be performed using paper of length 730 mm or less.
Important
The number of sheets that can fit in the Output Stacker is one sheet. When printing multiple pages, remove each sheet
after it is printed.
Before printing banners or other long documents, tap the Output Stacker. We recommend that you spread a clean cloth
or paper on the floor and select Eject as the cutting method for rolls to prevent the printed surface from becoming dirty
or scratched. (See "Specifying the Cutting Method for Rolls.")
If you perform high density printing on thin paper, the paper may become warped and might not stack correctly in the
508
Output Stacker. If this happens, use the Output Stacker folded up.
Use the Output Stacker in the regular position (a).
The stacker may also be used in the extended position (b) for some types of paper. To switch to the extended posi-
tion, move the Support Rod to position (b). The extended position enables easy removal after printing.
