Section 3 - Getting Started
Once the DIR-869 has been properly set up as an Access Point in Extender Mode as detailed in Section 2 - Installation, no further
configuration is necessary in most cases. You may connect wired devices using Ethernet cables or connect wireless devices using
the default wireless credentials printed on the Wi-Fi Configuration card. For more information about connecting wireless devices,
refer to Connect a Wireless Client to your Router on page 104.
If you want to make changes to the default Access Point settings, such as the wireless network names or passwords, or need to
perform advanced configuration setup you can do so using the web configuration utility. The web configuration utility has two
main sections.
• D-Link Setup Wizard - This wizard will launch when you log in for the first time if no Internet connection is detected.
Refer to page 32.
• Manual Setup - Log in and manually configure your device. Refer to Configuration - Extender Mode - Access Point
on page 90.
