    The brakes should be checked for adjustment after the first 25 hours of operation and should only need adjusting after considerable use thereafter. These periodic adjustments can be performed where the brake cable connect to the bottom of the brake pedals. When the cable is no longer adjustable, the star nut on inside of the brake drum must be adjusted to move the brake shoes outward.
