Due to the complicated map of TV stations we are unable to pre-tune all programme positions. The following simple steps
will take you through the process, enabling you to allocate any TV station to any programme position. Auto tuning searches
similar systems, e.g. B/G, I, D/K, L1 and L2, and then displays all the available stations. All unassigned programme positions
will be skipped. To allocate a position for your VCR, use the Manual tuning method as described in Owner's Manual.
Your Toshiba TV may be tuned manually as an alternative to Auto tuning.
DO NOT PRESS ANY OTHER BUTTONS WHILST THE SET IS TUNING.
System Selection, Auto Tuning
Before using Auto tuning, it is important that you select the
required system i.e. B/G for Continental Europe, D/K for
Eastern Europe, I for the U.K., L1 and L2 for France. Gen-
erally speaking, however, the correct colour system is al-
ready set when you execute Quick Set up the first time you
turn on the TV.
Should you also wish to tune to alternative systems this
must be done manually, after using Auto tuning.

Press the MENU button, then press the
repeatedly to display the SET UP menu.

button to highlight Auto tuning.

Press the OK button to display the Auto tuning menu.
System will be highlighted.
Press the

button to select the required system.
i.e. B/G, I, D/K, L1 and L2.

Press the OK button to start the automatic search.
The search will begin for all available stations.
Bullet will move along the line as the search
progresses.
DO NOT PRESS ANY BUTTONS WHILST THE
AUTOMATIC SEARCH IS IN PROGRESS. If you
make a mistake, simply repeat steps 4 to start again
from the beginning.

When the automatic search is complete, the TV will
automatically return to programme position 1.

Press the P8 or P9 button to view the programmed
positions.

Note: When using an external source, such as a
VCR, if there is little or no colour, improvements
may sometimes be achieved by trying a different
colour mode. If you select Auto as described be-
low, the TV will automatically display the best col-
our system.
