Setting Up Voicemail
The first thing you'll want to do after activating your phone is set up your
voicemail (see page 4 for instructions).
Knowing When You Have Messages
There are several ways your phone alerts you:
By displaying a message on the screen.
By sounding the assigned ringer type.
By the LED blinking red.
By displaying
at the top of your screen for voicemail messages
or
for page/text messages.
Message Types
There are two types of messaging features available from your phone's
menu. You can receive voicemail and page/text messages as long as your
phone has enough memory locations to store them.

New Voicemail Message Alerts

When you receive a new voicemail message, your phone alerts you and

Important:
When you are roaming off the network available to you, you
may not receive notification of new voicemail messages. It is
recommended that you periodically check your voicemail by dialing
1 + area code + your phone number. When your voicemail box answers,

and enter your pass code.

Note:
Your phone accepts messages even when it is turned off.
However, you are only notified of new messages when your phone is
turned on and you are in a network service area.

Retrieving Your Voicemail Messages

You can review your messages directly from your phone or any other
touch-tone phone. To dial from your phone, you can either speed dial
your voicemail box or use the menu keys.
