    1. Keep the number of walls and ceilings between the D-Link device and other network devices to a minimum. Each wall or ceiling can reduce your extender’s range by up to 90 feet (more than 27 meters). Position your devices so that the number of walls or ceilings is minimized.

    Connect Your DCH-M225 to Your Router Using WPS The easiest and most secure way to connect your DCH-M225 to your the router or access point is with WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). Refer to your user manual for your router or access point to make sure you understand how to enable WPS. Once you know, follow the steps below: Step 1 - Find an available outlet near your wireless router.

    * Once the DCH-M225 connects to your router using the default IP address, it will be assigned a new IP address based on your router/network’s DHCP settings. You will need to log in to your router and view the DHCP table to see what IP address was assigned to the DCH-M225. The MAC address is printed on the label on the DCH-M225.

Use Site Survey to scan available Wi-Fi networks so you can select the one you would like to extend.     Audio Renderer This page allows you to configure the settings for the DCH-M225’s audio extending feature, so your music can be streamed wirelessly from a DLNA-certified* DMS device.     Admin This page will allow you to set a new password for the administrator account used to configure the DCH-M225. You can also enable graphical authentication (CAPTCHA) for added security.     1. Why can’t I connect to my wireless router? Why does my wireless connection drop? • Verify that the DCH-M225 is within range of your wireless router. Try plugging it into a location closer to the router and verify the LED is solid green.
