    VCR operation Slow picture To see exactly at slow speed, press the SLOW button. If you press the SLOW button repeatedly during playback, the playback speed will be faster and faster. Note : The screen display might be unstable while you press the SLOW button when playing a tape recorded in LP.

    Recording Timer recording standby (option) On some models, Timer recording is an optional function. Only a set with Timer recording can perform this function. You can release or return to the timer recording standby mode with this function. If you want to use the VCR buttons or to play back tapes while the timer programme is set for recording, press the TIMER REC button to release the timer recording standby mode.

    Teletext (option) Teletext (or TOP text) is an optional function, therefore only a set with the teletext system can receive the teletext broadcast. Teletext is a free service broadcast by most TV stations which gives up-to-the-minute information on news, weather, television programmes, share prices and many other topics.
