IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

To reduce the risk of fi re, electric shock, injury, always observe the following safety instructions.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (Including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities
or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
• Do not use the appliance on people or animals.
• Do not use the appliance if the mains lead or plug is damaged or faulty.
• Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
• Do not vacuum the followings
- Hot ash or embers
- Large and sharp objects
- Water or other liquids
- Flammable or combustible, explosive materials or gases
- Toner dust, for example, those from printers and photocopiers
- Conductive dusts from power tool
• Do not damage the mains lead or plug as follows
- Placing near the heating elements
- Modifying, bending, twisting, pulling
- Putting heavy objects on top, and bundling the mains lead
• Do not use wet washable parts such as fi lters, make sure they are completely dry to avoid damaging the appliance.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
• If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by authorised Service Center or similarly qualifi ed person in order to avoid
a hazard.
• Use an independent socket outlet with the stipulated voltage of local places (Singapore / Malaysia: 230 V - 240 V ;
Hong Kong: 220 V).
• The plug must be removed from the socket outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.
• Clean dust on the plug regularly with dry cloth.
• This appliance is designed for household use only. It is not suitable for commercial / industrial use or for any other cleaning
purposes.
• Do not block the appliance suction or vent.
• Do not sit on the appliance.
• Do not pull on the mains lead when removing the plug for the socket outlet.
• Keep the appliance away from heat sources, for example, radiators, fi res, direct sunlight, etc.
• Use the appliance where the lighting is suffi cient to avoid the risk of tripping.
• Turn off the appliance before removing the plug.
• Hold the plug when rewinding the mains lead.
• This appliance is fi tted with a thermal cut-out device which automatically turns off the appliance to prevent overheating of the
motor. When this happens, disconnect the appliance from the socket outlet and check the dust bin and fi lters as they may
be full or clogged with fi ne dust. Check for any other obstructions in the hose or nozzle. After removing the obstruction, leave
the appliance to cool down until the thermal cut-out resets after approximately 60 minutes (Depends on the surrounding
temperature) and then you can use the appliance again.
