Measures to be taken for any operating anomalies

The switch does not open when the opening button is pressed
The switch does not open when the YO operating release is tripped
The switch does not open when the YU minimum voltage release is tripped
The switch does not open when the protection relay release test is run
The switch does not shut when the close button is pressed
The switch does not shut when the YC closing coil is tripped
The closing springs cannot be loaded by the manual loading lever

Checks and remedies
Check that opening solenoid is connected
correctly
Press the mechanical pushbutton to reset
signal relay tripped
Measure the voltage: it must not be less
than 85% of the rated nominal coil voltage
Check the rating plate voltage of the
releases
Check connections, fuses, interlocks,
protection circuit-breakers and consent
contacts
Check tightness of the screws connecting
the wires
Check the connections with the corre-
sponding circuit diagram
Replace the coil
Operate by hand. If the fault persists
please contact ABB SACE
Unlock by inserting the key
Complete the insertion operation
Check the corresponding power supply
circuit and the power supply voltage
Check the power supply circuit
See paragraph 7.3

Extract crank
Turn switch to test or inserted position
Replace fuse
Replace reduction gear
Check that the movable part is compatible
with the fi xed part
