Equipment : Waveform monitor
Test Point
: TEST OUT connector
Preparations:
• Connect the waveform monitor to the TEST OUT
connector.
• GAIN switch (on the side panel) → L (0 dB)
• RGB/ENC switch (on the side panel) → RGB
• R/G/B switch (on the side panel) → G
• Set the DISP switch (on the side panel) to MENU while
holding down the MENU SEL switch (on the front
panel). Set the menu as follows.
MENU : Paint
PAGE : Detail1 (P2)
Detail → Off
ITEM :
PAGE : Gamma (P5)
Gamma → On
ITEM :
PAGE : Knee/W.Clip (P6)
Knee → Off
ITEM :
White Clip → Off
ITEM :
Iris of the lens : CLOSE
Adjustment Procedures:
1. Set the waveform monitor as follows.
• LUM mode
2. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the black level by
using the MENU SEL switch.
MENU : Paint
PAGE : Video Level (P1)
ITEM : Black [M]
Specifications: A = 3 ±1 IRE (for NTSC)
A = 21 ±7 mV (for PAL)
(Waveform Monitor)
3. Adjust the auto black balance.
AUTO W/B BAL switch (on the front panel) → BLK
4. Set the menu as follows.
MENU : System config
PAGE : PR/VA/TEST (S3)
TEST → 2

5. Set the menu as follows, and adjust the A/D gain for G
by using the MENU SEL switch.
MENU : System config
PAGE : PR/VA/TEST (S3)
ITEM : PR AD G [G]
Specifications: The white level shall not be changed
even if the OUTPUT/DCC switch
(on the side panel) is changed over
between CAM and BARS.
