Problems with the load size indicator and the dispensing
recommendation
Problem
There is no load
size in the display
A load size is
indicated in the
display but there is
no laundry present
in the drum.
No load size is
indicated in the
display for the
Delicates, Silks and
the Woollens
programmes.
42
Possible cause
The washing machine is not
switched on and / or a
programme has not been
selected.
The amount of laundry in the
drum is less than 25% of the
maximum load for the
programme selected.
When the washing machine
was switched on there was
already laundry in the drum.
This has decalibrated the
sensor from the zero position.
The load size sensor has been
decalibrated from the zero
position.
The maximum load is 1 kg for
the Delicates and Silks
programmes and 2kg for the
Woollens programmes. In
some cases the load size
sensor fails to register these
small quantities. (The
dispensing recommendation
will still show the minimum
value of 40%).
Remedy
Switch the washing
machine on. Select a
programme and load the
drum.
The display will come on
when 25% has been
loaded.
Remove the laundry from
the drum and press the
button above the Start
button until an audible
tone sounds. The sensor
is now recalibrated to
zero.
Rotate the drum once. If
the display does not go
out, recalibrate the
sensor to zero (see
above section).
Rotate the drum once.
