SERVICING AND SPARES
CAUTION: Mains supplies:
▶ Turn off the gas supply and isolate the electrical
mains supply before starting any work on the
appliance and observe all relevant safety
precautions.
CAUTION: Component replacement:
▶ After replacement of a gas related component,
where a gasket or seal has been disturbed or
replaced, check for gas tightness using a gas sniffer/
analyser.
▶ Also after re-assembly, carry out the following
checks:
Fan pressure in section 10.6,
Flue gas analysis in section 10.7.
NOTICE: Service work
▶ Service work must be carried out by a competent
registered engineer!
NOTICE: CO/CO

▶ Service work must not be attempted if a calibrated
CO/CO
analyser and manometer is not available.

Inspection and service

NOTICE: Any service work must be carried out by
qualified, competent and registered engineers.
▶ After servicing, complete the relevant Service
Interval Record.
▶ A service must NOT be attempted if a CO/CO
analyser is NOT available.
• To ensure the continued efficient operation of the appliance it must
be checked at regular intervals.
• The frequency of servicing will depend upon the particular
installation conditions and usage however, an annual service is
recommended.
• The extent of the service required by the appliance is determined by
the operating condition of the appliance when tested by fully
qualified engineers.
Inspection
1. Check that the terminal and the terminal guard, if fitted, are clear and
undamaged.
2. Check all the joints and connections in the system and remake any
that show signs of leakage. Refill and re-pressurise if applicable as
described in Commissioning.
3. Operate the appliance and take note of any irregularities. Call up the
last fault stored by the controller, Service Function 'i2'.
Refer to Fault Finding on page for rectification procedures.

Service function

The Service menu provides you with service functions for editing and
testing of many of the appliance's functions.
The service menu is divided into five sub-menus:
• Info menu for reading out values
• Menu 1, for setting service functions of the first level
• Menu 2, for setting service functions of the second level
• Menu 3, for setting service functions of the third level
• Test menu for manually adjusting device functions for test purposes

10.2.1 Selecting service menus

The description can be found at the beginning of each section about the
various menus.
To access the various menus see:
▶ Menu info (see section 10.2.2)
▶ Menu 1 (see section 10.2.3)
▶ Menu 2 (see section 10.2.4)
▶ Menu 3 (see section 10.2.5)
▶ Test menu (see section 10.2.6)
Press the + or - button to scroll the menu area.
An up and down arrow combination means you can scroll
up and down through the menu.
A double up or double down arrow means you can only
scroll up or down through the menu.
The text line [10] displays the service function and the alphanumeric
display [2] shows the value of this service function.
Setting the value:
▶ Press the ok button, in the service function, to change the value.
▶ The value flashes in the alphanumeric display.
▶ Press the + or - button to select the desired value.
▶ Press the ok button again to save the setting.
After successfully storing the changed value, a tick symbol will appear
momentarily in the display.
The control will automatically exit the service level after 15 minutes of
inactivity.
