Bell Alarm With Lockout

The bell alarm with lockout module combines both the bell
alarm and a manual lockout function. The bell alarm switch
operates identically to the standard bel l a l a rm module,
except that the mech a n ical pop-out target must be manually
reset before the breaker can be closed.
Operation of the bell alarm with lockout module can be in
dependently set by means of setting the DIP switches at the
rea r of the M icroVersaTrip P/usTM and PM™ trip un its. For the
Power+™ trip unit, the bell alarm with lockout module oper
ates only when an overcurrent (including g round fault) trip
occurs. Current ratings of the single SPDT switch a re identical
to the bell a la rm module.

U ndervoltage Release Module

The undervoltage release is an e lectronic module used to
open the circuit b reaker when the monitored voltage d rops
below 3 5-60% of its rated value. The undervoltage release
"resets" when the mon itored voltage is re-esta blished allow
ing the circuit b reaker to reclose (the sealing voltage of the
UVR is 60-85% of its rated voltage).

An undervoltage release trip operation is produced by the
Power+, MicroVersaTrip Plus or MicroVersaTrip PM trip unit in
response to a signal from the undervoltage release module.
This a l lows the trip unit to record, display, distingu ish and
commun icate (in Mic roVersaTrip PM trip units) that the break
er opening event was due to undervoltage release. Opera
tion of the undervo/tage release module will prevent b reaker
contact closure, i.e. "kiss-free" o peration. When energized,
the undervo/tage release supplies +24 Vdc power to the Mi
croVersaTrip Plus and PM trip un its to power the display.
The undervoltage release module is ava ilable in a wid e range
of control and power system voltages ranging from 1 2 Vdc
to 600 Vac. U ndervoltage release modules used with 480
Vac and 600 Vac control power a re supplied with a 5 0 VA
control power transformer which mou nts externally from the
b reaker. These transformers p rovide a n output of 120 Vac,
5 0/60 Hz. to the UVR modules. (See outl ine d rawings in Physi
cal Data Section.)

Tim e Delay Mod u le for UVR
The time delay module prevents nuisance tripping d ue to
momentary loss of voltage. Cat. N o. SPUVTD has 0.1 to 1.0
seconds delay. The module has 120 Vac in put and 125 Vdc
output and must be used with the 125 Vdc UVR (Cat . No.
SPUV125DC).
